Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission will 7 December 2017  for papers to be included in the 2018 October programme.

   


Important Dates

Closing date for abstract submissions: 12 midday, 30 May 2018.

Review : June / July 2018

Acceptance or rejection will be advised from: Monday 6 August 2018. 

Please read the information below carefully before submitting your abstract.



HPBA Papers

 

Free papers - 9  minutes ( 7 presentation + 2 Q/A) on Day 1 and on screen (subject to change)

and /or 

E Posters (displayed on multi-touch display interactive screens within lounge)

and / or

Quikshots session (5 mins - 3 + 2) on Day 2


ANZGOSA Upper GI  Papers

Free papers - 9  minutes (7 presentation + 2 Q/A)  on Day 1 and on screen (subject to change)

and /or 

E Posters  (displayed on multi-touch display interactive screens within lounge)

and / or

Quikshots session (5 mins - 3 + 2) on Day 2

Maximum  of 400 words

Template
If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you will be required to produce a poster following a template.  Template details will be forwarded on acceptance.

Formats for Abstracts
The following format must be followed for all abstracts:

Title: 12 point, bold typeface, arial font, left aligned

Leave one blank line (12 pt)

Authors: 10 point, arial font, Surname, First name, Presenting author to be bold, Affiliations numbered in superscript

Leave one blank line (12pt) 

Affiliations: 10 point, arial font, italics, affiliation, city, country

Leave two blank lines

Abstract Text: 12 point, arial font, left aligned, single spacing, maximum 400 words

Please:

- Do not insert any tables or figures

- Do not include titles or degrees

- Check spelling and grammar.  Submitted material will be published in the Conference Handbook - the abstract, therefore, should contain no errors

- Standard scientific abbreviations may be used, non standard abbreviations should be included in parenthesis after the first use of the full word

- Do not indent paragraphs

- Present sufficient data to support conclusions - it is unsatisfactory to use statements such as "data will be presented" or "results will be discussed"

Failure to observe these requirements will exclude the abstract from consideration.

Registration
All presenters must register to attend the Conference and are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and registration expenses by September 1.  
A condition of acceptance is that at least one author presents on Day 1 (October 8, 2018) of the Conference.

Presentation at the Conference
Presentations will be required no later than 7.30am on the morning of the presentation, and should be delivered to the technician in the Speaker Preparation Room.  
Further detailed instructions will be sent to authors of accepted papers.
